Description

A creamy, nourishing breakfast that tastes just like banana bread—made easy by soaking oats with ripe banana, warm spices, and yogurt or milk overnight; grab-and-go mornings made delicious.

Ingredients

 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

½ ripe banana, mashed

¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)

 cup milk of choice

½2 tsp maple syrup or honey

¼ tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Optional mix-ins: chopped walnuts or pecans, ground flaxseed or chia seeds

Instructions

In a jar or airtight bowl, mash the ripe banana.

Add oats, yogurt, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and any optional mix-ins. Stir or shake well until evenly combined.

Seal and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours.

In the morning, stir and loosen with a splash more milk if needed. Top with fresh banana slices, nuts, seeds, or a drizzle of honey.

Notes

Use **rolled oats**, not steel-cut—they soften perfectly overnight

Mash bananas well for creamier texture; very ripe bananas give more sweetness

Prefer warm oats? Microwave briefly before topping

Make it vegan by using non-dairy milk and plant yogurt
