Chilled overnight, it sets into a delightful texture, making it a crowd-pleaser that’s as impressive as it is easy to make.
Ingredients
For the Cream:
200 g mascarpone cheese (room temperature)
16 g whipping cream stabilizer
8 g vanilla sugar
40 g granulated sugar
300 ml heavy cream (chilled)
For the Extra:
Biscoff cookies
Biscoff spread
For the Topping:
Biscoff spread (for drizzling)
For the Base & Garnish:
Ladyfingers
Fresh strawberries (for garnish)
Crumbled Biscoff cookies (for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the Cream:
In a deep bowl, combine the mascarpone, whipping cream stabilizer, vanilla sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix for 1 minute.
Gradually add the chilled heavy cream and mix until the cream forms stiff peaks.
Prepare the Ladyfingers:
Cut the ladyfingers into thirds. Take one piece and cut it again into three smaller pieces to form the base layer of the dessert. Repeat until you have enough pieces to line the base.
Assemble the Dessert:
Line a baking ring with plastic wrap and place it on a plate or coaster. Line the sides of the ring with ladyfingers and fill the bottom with the smaller pieces.
Pipe a layer of mascarpone cream onto the base, followed by a layer of Biscoff spread, crumbled Biscoff cookies, and another layer of cream.
Don’t overfill the ring, as you will add another layer of Biscoff spread on top. Smooth the top.
Set the Dessert:
Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4-5 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to set.
Finish with Biscoff Spread:
Gently heat the Biscoff spread in a saucepan over low heat or briefly melt it in the microwave until it becomes liquid.
Pipe a thin layer of melted Biscoff spread over the desserts and garnish as desired with fresh strawberries, Biscoff cookie crumbs, or Biscoff lines.
Notes
Mascarpone Tip: Make sure the mascarpone is at room temperature for smooth mixing.
Ladyfingers Tip: Quickly dip the ladyfingers in milk, coffee, or a mix of milk and Biscoff spread to enhance flavor without soaking them too much, as they can get soggy.
Optional Layers: Add a layer of finely chopped strawberries for a fresh contrast to the sweetness of the dessert.
Flavor Variations: Replace vanilla sugar with vanilla extract or substitute mascarpone with cream cheese for a different texture.
Salted Caramel Twist: For a sweet and salty contrast, add a layer of salted caramel sauce for extra depth of flavor.
