Description
A savory, one-pan dinner where tender cabbage meets seasoned ground beef in a rich tomato-based sauce—easy, comforting, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 head green cabbage, roughly chopped (about 4 cups)
1 can (14 oz / 400 g) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp ground cumin
Salt & pepper, to taste
Optional garnish: fresh parsley or grated Parmesan
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon; drain excess fat if needed.
Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 3–4 minutes until softened.
Stir in chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes (with juices), and tomato paste.
Season with smoked paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and flavors meld.
Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
Garnish with fresh parsley or Parmesan before serving. Enjoy warm!
