Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Seafood
- 1 cup crab meat (real or imitation)
Cheese & Vegetables
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 green onions, chopped
Seasonings
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven. Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) to warm up while you prepare the dip, ensuring even baking.
- Mix cream cheese and sour cream. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy with no lumps.
- Add crab meat and other ingredients. Gently fold in the crab meat, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix well to evenly distribute all flavors.
- Season to taste. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper according to your preference; stir again to incorporate the seasoning.
- Prepare for baking. Transfer the mixture into a baking dish, spreading it out evenly to promote consistent heating.
- Bake the dip. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.
- Serve warm. Remove from oven and serve immediately with crackers or wonton chips for dipping, enhancing the rich, creamy texture and flavor.
Notes
- For the best flavor, use fresh crab meat instead of imitation.
- If you enjoy a bit of heat, add a dash of hot sauce to the mixture before baking.
- The dip is best served immediately while warm for optimal texture and taste.
