Description

This Creamy Garlic Chicken recipe is an indulgent and flavorful meal that combines succulent chicken breasts with a velvety garlic cream sauce. Perfect for weeknights or special occasions, this dish is simple to make and pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, or vegetables. Enjoy a rich and comforting dinner that’s guaranteed to impress!

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook the chicken in the skillet for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (be careful not to burn).

  4. Pour in the chicken broth, stirring to loosen any chicken bits stuck to the pan.

  5. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Let the sauce cook for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  6. Add parmesan cheese and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.

  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over it. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the chicken to soak up the flavors.

  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

You can add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for added flavor and texture.

Chicken thighs can be used in place of breasts for a richer flavor.

For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or a dairy-free cream alternative and use a non-dairy cheese substitute.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, let it simmer for a few more minutes or use a cornstarch slurry.
