1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried parsley
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
8 oz pasta (fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
-
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 7-8 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and let the sauce thicken slightly for 3-4 minutes.
-
Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until smooth and creamy. Season with thyme and parsley.
-
Return the chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Add the cooked pasta and toss to combine everything evenly.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
