Description

Soft, fluffy chocolate chip muffins that are easy to make, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert. This recipe combines classic ingredients with sweet chocolate chips to create a delightful treat that cooks quickly and tastes delicious.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins

  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners to prepare for baking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to ensure a soft muffin texture.
  5. Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter, distributing the sweetness in every bite.
  6. Fill Muffin Tin: Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full for the perfect rise.
  7. Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the muffins turn golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Serve: Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack or serving them warm.

Notes

  • Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top of the batter before baking for a bakery-style look and extra chocolatey bites.
  • Avoid overmixing the batter to keep the muffins tender and fluffy.
