Description
Juicy and flavorful beef kofta kebabs infused with warm spices and fresh herbs, perfectly grilled or baked for a delicious Middle Eastern meal. These kofta kebabs are ideal served with flatbread and a cool yogurt sauce, making for a satisfying and aromatic dinner option.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely grated onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, chopped fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated to develop a uniform flavor and texture.
- Shape the kebabs: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer, forming elongated, sausage-like shapes. Ensure the meat is compact and evenly molded to prevent falling apart during cooking.
- Preheat and prepare for cooking: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) if baking.
- Cook the kofta kebabs: Place the skewers on the grill or on a baking tray and cook for 15 to 18 minutes, turning occasionally if grilling, until the beef is fully cooked and has a beautiful browned exterior.
- Serve: Remove the kofta from skewers and serve hot with flatbread and a side of yogurt sauce, alongside fresh salad or rice for a complete meal.
