Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions
Heat Oil: Heat oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
Combine Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
