Ingredients
Chicken and Marinade
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 1 large lemon
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Additional
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- Prepare Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined, forming a flavorful marinade.
- Marinate Chicken: Add the chicken chunks to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to infuse.
- Thread Skewers: Thread the marinated chicken pieces evenly onto the wooden or metal skewers, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to achieve perfect grilling temperature.
- Grill Skewers: Place the chicken skewers on the grill and cook for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking and grill marks. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked through and juices run clear.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes to retain juices before serving.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- For added flavor and variety, add bell peppers or onions between chicken pieces on skewers.
- If a grill is not available, bake the skewers in a preheated oven at 400°F for 20–25 minutes until cooked through.
