Description

All the flavor of a Philly cheesesteak in an easy skillet form — tender ground beef, peppers, onions, and melty provolone.

Ingredients

Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella
  • 4 sandwich rolls
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown beef in skillet: Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, pepper, and Worcestershire: Sauté sliced onion and green bell pepper with Worcestershire sauce until tender.
  3. Spoon onto toasted rolls: Place the beef and vegetable mixture onto toasted sandwich rolls.
  4. Top with cheese: Sprinkle shredded provolone or mozzarella on top.
  5. Broil until melted: Broil the assembled sandwiches for 1–2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Add mushrooms or hot peppers for a twist.
  • Use hoagie rolls for classic presentation.
