Description
This Ground Beef Stroganoff is a creamy, savory, and easy one-pan meal perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner. Featuring tender ground beef, sautéed mushrooms, and onions in a rich mushroom gravy, all tossed with egg noodles for a satisfying and hearty dish.
Ingredients
Meat and Vegetables
- 1 lb ground beef
 - 1 small onion, diced
 - 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

Dairy and Pantry
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
 - ½ cup sour cream
 - 2 cups cooked egg noodles
 - Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Brown the beef, onions, and mushrooms: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef together with the diced onion and sliced mushrooms until the beef is browned and the vegetables have softened. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
 - Add soup and sour cream: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream gently into the beef mixture, heating it until warmed through but not boiling, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
 - Toss with noodles: Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat the noodles evenly with the creamy mushroom and beef sauce.
 - Serve: Serve the stroganoff warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired for a fresh pop of color and flavor.

Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce during the cooking process.
 - Use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream for a lighter, tangier version.
 - Be careful not to boil once sour cream is added to prevent curdling.
 - Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
