Description

Crispy caramelized beef tossed in a sweet-savory sticky glaze — restaurant-style flavor made easy at home.


Ingredients

Beef:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced

Glaze:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tsp water

Others:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Sesame seeds & green onion for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat oil; sear beef 2–3 min until browned. Heat oil in a pan and sear thinly sliced flank steak until browned.
  2. Whisk soy sauce, honey, and garlic; pour into pan. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic. Pour the mixture into the pan with the beef.
  3. Simmer 2 min; stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2 minutes then stir in the cornstarch-water slurry to thicken the glaze.
  4. Toss to coat; garnish and serve. Toss the beef in the glaze until evenly coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Add chili flakes for spice.
