Description
Crispy caramelized beef tossed in a sweet-savory sticky glaze — restaurant-style flavor made easy at home.
Ingredients
Beef:
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
Glaze:
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tsp water
Others:
- 1 tbsp oil
- Sesame seeds & green onion for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil; sear beef 2–3 min until browned. Heat oil in a pan and sear thinly sliced flank steak until browned.
- Whisk soy sauce, honey, and garlic; pour into pan. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic. Pour the mixture into the pan with the beef.
- Simmer 2 min; stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2 minutes then stir in the cornstarch-water slurry to thicken the glaze.
- Toss to coat; garnish and serve. Toss the beef in the glaze until evenly coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Add chili flakes for spice.
- Works great with chicken or tofu.
