Description
An iced caramel latte is a smooth and creamy coffee drink combining espresso, cold milk, and rich caramel syrup served over ice. This sweet and refreshing café-style beverage can be easily crafted at home in just minutes, perfect for a cool pick-me-up.
Ingredients
Drink Base
- 1–2 shots espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee, cooled)
- 1 cup milk (whole, skim, or dairy-free such as oat milk)
- 2 tablespoons caramel syrup (plus more for drizzle)
- Ice
Optional Topping
- Whipped cream
Instructions
- Prepare Coffee: Brew espresso shots or make strong coffee, then allow it to cool slightly so it won’t melt the ice immediately.
- Fill Glass with Ice: Take a tall glass and fill it completely with ice cubes to keep the drink chilled.
- Add Caramel Syrup: Pour 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup directly over the ice to infuse the sweetness evenly.
- Combine Coffee with Syrup and Ice: Pour the cooled espresso or brewed coffee over the caramel and ice mixture.
- Add Milk: Pour 1 cup of your chosen milk over the drink and stir gently to blend all the flavors together.
- Garnish and Serve: Drizzle extra caramel syrup on top for a decorative touch. Optionally, add whipped cream for creaminess. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
- Use cold brew coffee instead of espresso for a smoother flavor and less acidity.
- Adjust the amount of caramel syrup according to your desired sweetness level.
- Oat milk is a great dairy-free alternative that pairs exceptionally well with the caramel flavor.
- For a blended version, add all ingredients including ice into a blender and blend until smooth.
