Description

Maple Pecan Bread is a moist and cozy quick bread sweetened naturally with pure maple syrup and packed with crunchy toasted pecans, perfect for a comforting breakfast or snack during the fall season.

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or oil
  • 1/2 cup milk

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the bread after baking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar until well combined for even leavening and sweetness.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the pure maple syrup, eggs, melted butter (or oil), and milk thoroughly to combine fully and create a smooth mixture.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients bowl and stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix to keep the bread tender.
  5. Fold in Pecans: Gently fold the chopped pecans into the batter to evenly distribute the crunchy nuts throughout the bread.
  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, indicating the bread is fully baked.

Notes

  • Cover the bread loosely with foil if the top begins to brown too quickly during baking to prevent burning.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely for best texture.
  • Store leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
