  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups Fritos corn chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375 °F (190 °C) to prepare for baking the Frito Pie.
  2. Brown beef and onion: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat to keep the dish from being greasy.
  3. Prepare the sloppy joe sauce: Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce into the beef mixture. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  4. Layer the casserole: Spread half of the Fritos corn chips evenly in the bottom of a baking dish. Spoon the beef mixture over the chips, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Add remaining chips and bake: Top the cheese layer with the remaining Fritos. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
