Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
 - 1 small onion, diced
 - ½ cup ketchup
 - 2 tbsp brown sugar
 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
 - 2 cups Fritos corn chips
 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375 °F (190 °C) to prepare for baking the Frito Pie.
 - Brown beef and onion: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat to keep the dish from being greasy.
 - Prepare the sloppy joe sauce: Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce into the beef mixture. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
 - Layer the casserole: Spread half of the Fritos corn chips evenly in the bottom of a baking dish. Spoon the beef mixture over the chips, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
 - Add remaining chips and bake: Top the cheese layer with the remaining Fritos. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
- Substitute ground turkey for a leaner meat option.
 - Add jalapeños or pickles on top for an extra crunch and a hint of spice.
