Description

This Strawberry Green Tea Lemonade is a fresh and fruity beverage that blends sweet strawberries, light green tea, and tangy lemonade into a perfectly balanced, refreshing drink. Ideal for warm days and gatherings, it offers a delightful combination of flavors with a lightly sweetened strawberry syrup mixed into brewed green tea and fresh lemon juice.

Ingredients

Strawberry Syrup

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • ½ cup sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup water (for strawberry syrup)

Main Drink

  • 4 cups brewed green tea, cooled
  • ¾1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 34 lemons)
  • 2 cups cold water (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Lemon slices or fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberry Syrup: In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar or honey, and 1 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the strawberries soften.
  2. Strain and Cool Syrup: Lightly mash the softened strawberries, then strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove solids. Allow the syrup to cool completely.
  3. Mix the Lemonade Tea: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled green tea, fresh lemon juice, strawberry syrup, and cold water. Stir well to blend all ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the drink and adjust the sweetness or lemon juice as needed to suit your preference.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the drink to become refreshing.
  6. Serve: Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices or fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

  • You can use frozen strawberries when fresh ones are not available.
  • For a fizzy twist, substitute the cold water with sparkling water.
  • Store the prepared drink in the refrigerator for up to 2 days to maintain freshness.
