Description

A creamy, strawberry-packed blended drink inspired by Starbucks, featuring fresh strawberry puree, vanilla ice cream, and optional crumbled shortbread cookies.

Ingredients

For the Frappuccino Base

1 cup milk (any type)

¼ cup strawberry puree (from fresh or frozen strawberries)

¼ cup vanilla ice cream

¼ cup ice cubes

1 tablespoon sugar (adjust to taste)

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

For Topping

Whipped cream

Fresh strawberries, sliced

Shortbread cookies, crumbled (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Strawberry Puree:
If making your own strawberry puree, blend about ½ cup of hulled fresh strawberries until smooth. For a smoother texture, you can strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.

Blend the Frappuccino Base:
In a blender, combine the milk, strawberry puree, vanilla ice cream, ice cubes, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy with no ice chunks remaining, about 30-45 seconds.

Adjust Consistency:
If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes or a little more ice cream and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.

Serve:
Pour the blended frappuccino into a tall glass. Top generously with whipped cream, creating a fluffy cloud on top of the drink.

Add the Toppings:
Arrange sliced fresh strawberries on top of the whipped cream. If desired, sprinkle with crumbled shortbread cookies for that authentic strawberry shortcake flavor and added texture.

Serve:
Add a straw and serve right away while cold and frosty. The frappuccino is best enjoyed fresh before the ice begins to melt.

Notes

This homemade version lets you control the sweetness level and ingredients while saving money compared to coffee shop prices.

For a more authentic Starbucks-style presentation, serve in a clear cup with a domed lid.

This recipe contains no coffee, making it suitable for kids and those avoiding caffeine.
