Description
Tender and flavorful salmon fillets coated in a spicy-sweet gochujang glaze, quickly air fried to perfection for a healthy, delicious Korean fusion main course that’s ready in just 15 minutes.
Ingredients
Salmon
- 2 salmon fillets
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Gochujang Glaze
- 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) and allow it to preheat fully to ensure even cooking of the salmon.
- Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, then season both sides lightly with salt and pepper to enhance flavor.
- Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Mix thoroughly until you get a smooth, spicy-sweet glaze.
- Glaze Salmon: Brush the prepared gochujang glaze evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring full coverage for maximum flavor.
- Cook Salmon: Place the glazed salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through, flakes easily with a fork, and the glaze is slightly caramelized.
- Serve: Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately. Optionally, garnish with toasted sesame seeds or chopped green onions for added texture and freshness.
Notes
- Do not overcook the salmon to keep it tender and moist.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions for an attractive presentation and extra flavor.
- Use fresh garlic for the best taste in the glaze.
- If you prefer less spice, reduce the amount of gochujang slightly.
