Ingredients
Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced
Avocado Mash
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking the salmon evenly.
- Prepare Salmon: Brush the salmon fillets evenly with olive oil. Season each fillet with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to build a flavorful crust.
- Add Lemon Slices and Bake: Place lemon slices directly over each salmon fillet. Transfer to the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork, indicating it is fully cooked.
- Make Avocado Mash: While the salmon bakes, pit and scoop out the avocados into a bowl. Mash them with lime juice, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix until smooth but still slightly chunky for texture.
- Assemble and Serve: Spread the prepared avocado mash evenly on serving plates. Top each portion with one baked salmon fillet. Serve immediately to enjoy the freshness and warmth of the dish.
Notes
