Description

Mini slider rolls stuffed with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and classic burger toppings, baked until golden and gooey. A crowd-pleasing appetizer or easy weeknight dinner perfect for parties or family meals.

Ingredients

Beef Mixture

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Assembly

  • 1 (12-count) package slider rolls (Hawaiian or dinner rolls work great)
  • 10–12 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
  • Pickles, lettuce, tomatoes (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
  2. Cook Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat to avoid greasy sliders.
  3. Season Beef: Stir in the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes to allow flavors to meld, then remove from heat.
  4. Prepare Slider Rolls: Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping the halves attached. Place the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish, creating a base for the filling.
  5. Add Sauces (Optional): If desired, spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard evenly over the bottom half of the rolls to add classic burger flavors.
  6. Assemble Sliders: Evenly distribute the seasoned beef mixture over the rolls. Layer cheese slices on top of the beef for a gooey, cheesy texture.
  7. Top and Butter: Place the top halves of the slider rolls back onto the assembled meat and cheese. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds for a golden finish.
  8. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to heat through and melt the cheese.
  9. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to brown the tops and create a slightly crispy crust.
  10. Serve: Slice the sliders into individual portions and serve immediately with optional pickles, lettuce, and tomato for added freshness and crunch.

Notes

  • Great for meal prep: cook the beef mixture ahead of time and assemble before baking for quick dinners.
  • Feel free to substitute any cheese variety to your preference; pepper jack adds a spicy kick.
  • For a Big Mac–style slider, add shredded lettuce and pickles after baking instead of before.
