Description

Soft and fluffy donuts dipped in a rich, glossy chocolate glaze for a classic bakery-style treat that’s irresistible and easy to make at home. Perfect for dessert or a sweet snack any time of day.

Ingredients

Donuts

  • 1012 prepared donuts (homemade or store-bought)

Chocolate Glaze

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Melt the Chocolate Mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips, butter, and milk together. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  2. Add Vanilla Extract: Stir in the vanilla extract thoroughly to add flavor to the glaze.
  3. Dip the Donuts: Take each donut and dip the top half into the warm chocolate glaze, making sure it is evenly coated.
  4. Set on Rack: Place the dipped donuts on a wire rack to allow excess glaze to drip off and to enable the glaze to harden evenly.
  5. Allow to Harden: Let the chocolate set and harden fully before serving for the perfect glossy finish and texture.

Notes

  • Add sprinkles or crushed nuts on top of the glaze before it sets for added texture and decoration.
  • For variation, substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with dark or white chocolate according to your preference.
