Description
Soft and fluffy donuts dipped in a rich, glossy chocolate glaze for a classic bakery-style treat that’s irresistible and easy to make at home. Perfect for dessert or a sweet snack any time of day.
Ingredients
Donuts
- 10–12 prepared donuts (homemade or store-bought)
Chocolate Glaze
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate Mixture: In a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips, butter, and milk together. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Add Vanilla Extract: Stir in the vanilla extract thoroughly to add flavor to the glaze.
- Dip the Donuts: Take each donut and dip the top half into the warm chocolate glaze, making sure it is evenly coated.
- Set on Rack: Place the dipped donuts on a wire rack to allow excess glaze to drip off and to enable the glaze to harden evenly.
- Allow to Harden: Let the chocolate set and harden fully before serving for the perfect glossy finish and texture.
Notes
- Add sprinkles or crushed nuts on top of the glaze before it sets for added texture and decoration.
- For variation, substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with dark or white chocolate according to your preference.
