Ingredients
Pie Crust
- 1 pie crust (pre-made or homemade)
Filling
- 200 g dark chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) to prepare it for baking the pie.
- Prepare the crust: Place the pie crust evenly in a pie dish, pressing it gently into the edges to form a neat base.
- Combine chocolate and butter: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted dark chocolate and melted butter until smooth and fully combined.
- Add sugar and eggs: Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition to create a uniform batter.
- Stir in remaining ingredients: Blend in the milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, ensuring the filling is smooth and glossy.
- Pour filling into crust: Pour the prepared chocolate filling into the pie crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake the pie: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 35–40 minutes, until the filling is set but still slightly soft in the center for a fudgy texture.
- Cool before serving: Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent dessert.
- Do not overbake to preserve the pie’s fudgy and moist texture.
