Filling
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the stuffed mushrooms.
- Prepare Mushrooms: Remove stems from mushrooms and finely chop the stems to use in the filling mixture.
- Sauté Filling Ingredients: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the chopped stems with minced garlic for 3 minutes to soften and release flavor.
- Mix Filling: Stir in breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Combine well to create a uniform filling mixture.
- Stuff Mushrooms: Spoon the filling mixture into each mushroom cap, filling them generously but evenly.
- Arrange and Bake: Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, until the tops are golden and mushrooms are tender.
- Serve: Remove from oven and serve warm as a tasty appetizer.

- Add cooked sausage or crab meat to the filling for a heartier and savory variation.
- Use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs to achieve a crispier texture on top.
