Ingredients
Hibiscus Tea Base
- 4 cups water
- 4 hibiscus tea bags
Strawberry Mixture
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups water (for blending with strawberries)
Other Ingredients
- ¾ cup fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup honey or simple syrup
- 2 cups ice cubes
- Lemon slices and fresh strawberries, for garnish
Instructions
- Steep Hibiscus Tea: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Remove from heat, add the 4 hibiscus tea bags, and steep for 10 minutes to extract the vibrant color and tart flavor. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
- Prepare Strawberry Puree: In a blender, combine the 1 cup of sliced fresh strawberries with the remaining 2 cups of water. Blend until smooth. For a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove seeds and pulp, if desired.
- Mix Lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled hibiscus tea, blended strawberry mixture, ¾ cup fresh lemon juice, and ½ cup honey or simple syrup. Stir thoroughly until all the ingredients are well incorporated and the honey is fully dissolved.
- Chill and Serve: Add 2 cups of ice cubes to the pitcher to chill the lemonade. Refrigerate if needed to further cool before serving.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Serve the lemonade in glasses garnished with lemon slices and fresh strawberries for an attractive and flavorful presentation.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness to your preference by adding more or less honey/simple syrup.
