Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)
Wet Ingredients
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup mashed strawberries or strawberry puree
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats and protein powder thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond butter, honey or maple syrup, mashed strawberries or strawberry puree, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and well blended.
- Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until completely combined into a uniform batter.
- Press Mixture into Pan: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and press it down evenly to create a uniform layer.
- Bake the Bars: Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 22 minutes until the bars are set and lightly golden on top.
- Cool and Slice: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 8 individual bars to ensure they hold together well.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup based on the sweetness of your protein powder to achieve your preferred taste.
- Storing the bars in the refrigerator improves their texture and keeps them fresher longer.
