Description

A bold and creamy pasta dish featuring Cajun-seasoned chicken with a spicy kick, sautéed bell peppers, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for a flavorful and satisfying main course.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced

Pasta

  • 250 g pasta

Dairy

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

Vegetables

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Seasonings & Oils

  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken: Sprinkle Cajun seasoning evenly over the sliced chicken breasts to coat them well.
  3. Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken slices and cook until fully cooked through and slightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. Sauté garlic and bell pepper: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes or until the pepper softens and garlic is fragrant.
  5. Prepare the sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese. Continue to stir and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Combine all ingredients: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, then add the cooked pasta. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken evenly with the creamy Cajun sauce.
  7. Serve hot: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, then serve the spicy Cajun pasta warm for best flavor and enjoyment.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning according to your preference.
  • For variation, substitute chicken with shrimp or add shrimp along with chicken for extra protein.
  • Use smoked paprika in the Cajun seasoning blend to add a deeper, smoky flavor to the dish.
