Ingredients
Enoki Mushrooms
- 200 g enoki mushrooms
- 1 tbsp oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp gochujang or chili paste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Prepare Mushrooms: Trim the base of the enoki mushrooms and separate them into smaller bundles to ensure even cooking.
- Heat Oil: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat to prepare for cooking the mushrooms.
- Cook Mushrooms: Add the enoki mushrooms to the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until they become softened but not mushy.
- Mix Sauce: In a bowl, thoroughly mix together the gochujang or chili paste, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and water to create the spicy sauce.
- Add Sauce: Pour the sauce into the pan with the mushrooms and toss gently to coat them evenly in the sauce.
- Thicken Sauce: Continue cooking for another 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and clings to the mushrooms.
- Serve: Serve the spicy enoki mushrooms hot as a flavorful side dish or appetizer. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.
