Description

A delightful fusion main course featuring juicy sausage slices cooked to perfection and coated in a sticky honey garlic sauce. This quick and easy pasta dish balances sweet, savory, and mildly spicy flavors, making it a perfect weeknight dinner option.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 250 g pasta

Sausage and Sauce

  • 300 g sausage, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes

Seasoning and Garnish

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil water in a large pot and cook 250 g of pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Brown the Sausage: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 300 g of sliced sausage and cook until the slices are browned and cooked through.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic (3 cloves) to the pan with the sausage and cook for about 1 minute, stirring frequently to release the garlic’s aroma without burning it.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: Stir in 3 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes into the pan. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly and becomes sticky.
  5. Toss Pasta in Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the pan with the sausage and honey garlic sauce. Toss thoroughly to coat the pasta evenly with the sticky sauce.
  6. Season and Serve: Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving to add a fresh, vibrant touch.

Notes

  • Add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach to increase the nutritional value and enhance texture.
  • Use chicken or turkey sausage as a lighter alternative to pork sausage.
  • Adjust the amount of honey and chili flakes to tailor the sweetness and spiciness according to your preference.
