Ingredients
Shrimp
- 400 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
Instructions
- Heat the Oil: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
- Season the Shrimp: Season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and pepper evenly on both sides.
- Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, turning once, until they turn pink and are cooked through but still tender.
- Prepare the Sauce: While the shrimp is cooking, combine 2 tbsp gochujang, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 tsp sesame oil, and 1 tsp rice vinegar in a small bowl; mix well to create a smooth sauce.
- Toss Shrimp in Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce into the pan with the cooked shrimp and toss to coat every piece evenly with the sticky sauce.
- Thicken the Sauce: Cook for an additional 1 minute while stirring constantly, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the shrimp perfectly.
- Serve Immediately: Remove the pan from heat and serve the sweet and spicy gochujang shrimp hot for best flavor and texture.
Notes
